Default Changing to 18" fronts?

What does it do to the geometry of the car if you go from 17s to 18s on the front?

It will raise the front .5" but does that affect the handling? Do you compensate by lowering the nose .5 or lower profile tire?

All you need is an alignment.

I've heard some folks say that going to 18s up front improves handling...

Get a lower profile tire. The end result (wheel and tire) is the same as stock.

You can use the setup I ran before as a scale. It worked without any computer problems(which I was concerned about)

275/35/18 front 295/35/18 rears.No issues

Hmmm... it almost seems like you could just put your stock rear wheels&tires - 275/40/18 on the front...

Any time you alter the wheel/tire sizes, your primary goal should be to keep the height (diameter) of the tire about the same.

I'm running 19" fronts, and the tire height is identical to those of the stock 17's.

As long as you keep the same proportions in tire sizes, you'll be fine. Otherwises, you might have active handling and traction control problems.

I'm running 265/35/18s in the front and 295/35/18s in the back using 18x9.5/18x10.5 high polished Y2k wheels.

StuzVette
Front 18X9.5 285 35 18
Rear 18X10.5 305 35 18

good variation in front and rear height

lowered on stock bolts
Hotchkis sway with adjustable links fron and rear
and Bilstein shocks...

Awesome ride and handling is extraordinary!

Do not do this, it causes major problems with the Traction Control.

265/35/18 and 295/35/18 are correct sizes.

I don't know about better handling but 18s up front look very nice, the back could use 19s in my opinion

Good to know--You should probably be able to fit tires of this sort on the stock rear rims, right?

I've been running the 275/35/18 fronts and 295/35/18 rear for over a year and a half with ZERO issues and some others have as well.. I would personally run these again..

He said 40. The aspect ratio of 40 is NOT fine in the situation. 275/35/18 I'm sure is ok.

Paras I'm not sure what your question is.
