Col.lock recall lets be friends
Well once again G M has had an epithany and this time seems to be doing the correct thing
I have noticed on some of the posts that some of us are try to say I was smart I bought the CLB or I am smart I waited it out.There have really been no winners here if you stop and think about it ,we are all victums one way or another.
We all have our own personal truths and opinions on this issue and I dont,t think anyone really had all the answers that would work for everyone.
I would like to express my thoughts and reasons for not .having bought the CLB. I beleive I at least have average intellengence and I would read many posts pro & con and the more I would read the more i was unsure.Sometime the devil you know is better than the devil you don,t know.
1 $ 50 was not an issue
2 I was very careful not to tug on the wheel entering or exiting the car also tried to keep wheel straight where it would not engage.
3 I felt like I might be lucky and like some people get a warning
4 For some people for what ever reason the CLB did,nt seen to work for them & in some cases caused trouble
5 I was hoping that sooner or later G M would remove the damn thing
6 I don,t have many cycles on ignition it is not daily driver.I made lots of long miles between cycles.
7 My car an 04 with 16 k is still fairly new.
8 And probably the most important is if something could have gone wrong and caused a fatal accident I wanted my widow or heirs to be well taken care of by the General I didn,t want them to say well he put in an aftermarket thingamajig and that was the problem.
There are probably other reasons that I can,t recall. I would like to express my appreciation for the many people who through their posts helped me figure what path for me was best. I realized I was,nt immune and could have been bitten in the ***.and I guess most of all you can,t beat dumb luck.
So for both sides pro & con maybe this will finally be put to rest.
