1998 C5, With Bad Seats, Help
However, both the driver and passenger seats will slide forward or backward (noticeably) under hard acceleration or braking. And when I say "hard" I am not talking about crazy driving...I am talking about quick starts and quick traffic type braking. I am not talking about track type stuff. Just the basics.
This is a noticeable and very offensive flaw in an otherwise great car. I do not know if the problem is with the tracks or what. But there is not excuse and this is exactly the type of cheap *** stuff that gives the car a bad name. You can actually sit in the driver's seat and hold the steering wheel and with a tug, feel the seat slide forward.
If anybody has experienced something similar and knows of a fix, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. wjgadd@yahoo.com

pm me and I'll give you in depth info on how to do it. My car is a 2000 with only 12,000 miles on it and had the problem.
