Default radar detector integration into HUD

A while back i talked with a member who modified his v1 into the hud, does anyone remember who the member was that did this mod?

or does anyone have a picture of the gutts of the HUD?

It was me. I haven't done it yet. I have seen a HUD completely taken apart (courtesy of Connecticut) and fiddled with it looking for placement of the V1 remote fascia.

The Frozen Tundra is negating my efforts right now....

the one that i saw, the member had the display in the hud and functional... it was you?? i thought i'd remember you? woops

do you think that the vfd display on the climate control would fit in the open space? even if it covered up the tach or the optional gauge display since i only use the speedo on my hud

I'm pretty sure it was still_single who had a great write-up on his v1 HUD integration. I remember seeing it a few years back. It was functional and looked very cool

Scott, I haven't done it yet. I bought another V1 remote, dissembled it and found a lovely spot for it in the HUD. Just trying to figure out how to get it to project right-side up and not upside down

I'm still in the process of moving in (FL) so I haven't dedicated too much time to it.

DCS is correct - I think it was "still_single" that had the great write up but I can't find it now.

I would like to have one integrated into my GPS system..that would be awesome to have it right on your screen showing the location where radar is positioned.
