Well, in the time spent on the heads and cam install, CHRIS (STANGKILLER) talked me into getting a set of Bilsteins. Well, we installed them and with the little bit of driving I have been able to perform I noticed a large difference. What an upgrade from my base line suspension and a welcome to my already installed HOTCHKIS!
I replaced the base shocks with Bilstein sports as well as all the rubber control arm bushings with polyurethane. What a huge improvement it is already. How do the Hotchkis swaybars ride with them? I am trying to decide between them and the T1s. Then I have to decide on springs.
I have found it almost silly trying to find a dealer for Bilstein shocks. Tried a couple of Google sites, what a hoot...
Where are you guys getting your shocks?? ANy forum vendors??
Thanks
tt
I'm in Orlando and Ecklers is over in titusville. The straw the broke the camels back was the fact that forum member Stuart was headed to ecklers, and he was kind enough to pick them up for us.
You might want to try ecklers, just make sure the part is in stock before ordering.

I see you replaced your springs with ZO6 springs, I have ZO6 springs coming for my 98 coupe. I already have ZO6 sway-bars and 2004 ZO6 shocks. Question is: Is it worth it to change the springs from standard to ZO6?? How hard was the spring change? I have a shop that will change mine for $175.00 labor cost. Do you think this is a good price? I like My car the way it is but if I can get it just a TAD better I will be happier. I was just gonna leave it like it is but I can't sleep knowing I have everything ZO6 under the Vette except the springs. I'm sure you know what MOD fever is like.

Thats where I placed my order (shox.com), nice folks, had them in stock, nice to deal with, $20 cheaper than the other guys.
Called the other guys, they spent more time arguing about what was on the web site than trying to take order, I gave up with them too.

The trip went well, the car is running great, throwing a coupl eof codes, but right now I am home, exhausted and living with a from ear to ear. BTW, I was checking out Chris' ride last night on our cruise around Orlando and this morning and that car came out GREAT!
