I have been dealing with this for a little while and I think I might have the answer, for me anyways but I need some confirmation from you guys in the know. I have been having the service TCS/AH/ABS code off and on for a while and I think I noticed the problem. I get the code C1214-Sol Valve Relay Contact or Coil CKT Open
I drive my Z06 everyday and I had cleared the code last week and didn'r have a problem with it all week, then I let the car sit for a little longer than usual over the weekend and the code got thrown again when I started it. I turned the ignition on without firing the car and I got 11.2V on the DIC for my battery and that's too low. When I went to start it up this morning for work I had the code so I drove to work and then immediately shut it down in the parking lot and turned the ignition on and got 12V and no code! I have a six year old Optima that I had put in it about 8 months ago since the auto parts store said it still had a good charge but I think I need a new battery. Am I on track? Sorry for the long post and TIA for any feedback.
Mike
I feel so lonely on my post...I know I may have answered my own question but there has to be someone who can lead me down the straight and narrow on this one.
A six year old Optima, I thinks it's just about ran it's coarse, I have one in my Chevy truck (as well as my Corvette) that is seven years old and I have been thinking about changing it out for a new one before it fails me. I think your on the right track.
