Default Gremlins in Power Window

Yesterday my passenger side window would not operate (go down). No unusual noises or anything of that nature. Today it's working perfectly. Go figure? Has this happened to any of you before and if so, what could be the cause?

Had this and a few more gremlins doing the cha cha in my electrical system after doing the headlight motor upgrade. it seems that the ground did not fully reconnect when I reconnected the gang plug. These cars, and I found this out the hard way, are very susceptable to crazy and seemingly unrelated problems due to bad grounds. If you have unplugged anything recently, check your plugs and maybe clean and apply a little dielectric grease. I understand it can also be caused by a bad battery. good luck....Bob

There is another thread going on about this.

As a temporary fix, when the gremlins hit, open the passenger door and jiggle the accordion tube.

Your window (lock, and control panel light) /should/ start working again, *temporarily*.

Likely cause is a loose connector or pin on one end or the other of the cables inside the accordion tube.

I unplugged the MAF sensor when I installed my Blackwing a couple weeks ago. And my battery is less then 6mos old. I guess I should count my blessings as this is the first thing that has gone wrong since I bought my 2000 over a year ago.
Thanks,
Chris

I'll check for any loose connectors. Thx,
Chris

..IS one of the C5 TECH TIPS listed ...go to top bar & click on OTHER, then Tech Tips, then C5, then the C5 Related Tech Tips screen will appear...scroll down & click on Possible Remedy for a Stuck Window...it works...This usually happens on pass. side windows that are not used much...I didn't lower mine for the 1st 3 years!...then it was stuck! I freed it up using this Tech Tip.....
