G'day Guys,
When I lock the car with the remote both doors lock ok but when I go to open the doors 1 door opens at a time, I have to push the unlock on the remote twice.
Has anyone heard of this before?
Cheers.
or read an owners manual out of practically any car w/factory keyless entry, seeing as how almost all cars do drivers side on one press, all others on two....
My wife tells me that owners manuals must have been created only for women.... since she has never caught me reading one....
I don't ask for directions either
FWIW, the option to "Unlock both doors" is only applicable when you stop, park, and remove the key from the ignition.
There is no option(I believe) to unlock both doors with one press from the keyfob.
It's a security issue.
Example... you (or some significant other who is small in stature, and can easily be overpowered) are in a parking lot at the store. There is somebody with bad intentions lurking. You press the unlock button on the fob. You don't want to unlock both doors as a default, just the drivers side.
As I said before, it's a safety feature.
My gf's car is the same, with automatic door locks, but no fob. Insert key in driver's door, turn once to unlock door. Turn twice to unlock all 4 doors. IF she opens from the passenger's side, it unlocks all 4 doors simultaneously.

My car locks are set for the drivers side to open if i push the key fob button once but not the passenger side unless i push the fob button two times for it to unlock.
