burn smell?
I have noticed lately that my 04 has a burning smell coming form the driver side rear of the car. Its real strong at the rear wheel, no, not rubber smell, tires are cold. I checked for something like plastic burning on the exhaust, but found nothing. Last time I noticed it, it had been driven hard, but not real hard, just a spirited run. Any ideas? It just smells like something is real hot, maybe traction control kicking in and getting the brakes real hot? But it is more on one side that the other.

Take a close look at the exhaust (starting with headers).
I had this in my 427 ('99) for some time, until I went to 21st Century MC and had the Vert lifted.
To my surprise, on the exhaust manifold, just before the collectors, a plastic bag (from a supermarket) was found.
It really never burned up completely, just kept on smelling - sorta like a electrical wire insullation.
