Just installed a Jensen VM9510TS in my 02 C5. I am getting some alternator noise in my speakers (the sound is a low whining noise). What can I do to get rid of this?
There are filters you can put in place but a lot of people will tell you to check all your connections and especially your grounding point that you used for the radio. Hopefully you didn't use the stock ground wire from the factory radio.
make sure you used crimp caps and didn't just twist the wire with some black tape. Also as stated check the ground and make sure your RCA outputs are not resting on metal or other wires. Hope this helps
Get rid of the Jensen! No offense thats like putting 86 in your tank. I hate to say it but you may want to put your stock radio back in. my .02
good luck though
And as for Jensen lenny037 go check out their new pro-audio series and what all you get with the VM9510TS for $540 new.....it's not jensen causing the whine, buddy of mine has one with NO whine!!!

I disagree with you on this one . Love my Jensen , no noise , great features , a lot of bang for the buck , touch screen , SD card reader , to name just a few ,check out the pics in my gallery .
no regrets at all on the Jensen

I'm not sure what corvettezman gave for his, but my VM9510TS was only $540 NEW! 7" widescreen, dvd/cd/mp3, tv tuner, sd card reader, touchscreen, dual zone, 2 remotes, all in one unit w/ NO brain to hide!!!
Well, I just pulled stereo and grounded directly to battery. Still have amp noise & have also noticed with ignition at on position have whine and if I press gas pedal I get a small static sound.
I have all factory steroe equipment, pulled factory stereo and put in after market stereo. I have checked to make sure there are no bare wires.
