Yes I do.... use the seats that came with the car....
You bought the car for it's looks and handling... reducing the Look and quality of the interior to 79 dollars, is like putting plastic seat covers on your leather sofa,.
Why hide the look and keep it pristine for the "next guy". Those leather seat will look good for four or five years, when they get old just buy new skins.... about 600 dollars for both seats but four or five years down the road;;;
All those cheap seat covers look just like that " Cheap"....
Even the expensive ones "Wet Okolies " 3oo dollars look cheap... I had them and hated them...
Have to agree with ET. Those seats look cheap. They are designed as a very temporary fix. Enjoy the orig seats and when they begin to look worn replace them.
I've had mine for almost 3 yrs and just replaced them because the bolster poked through. The bolster is one of the poorest designs possible. If I had it to do over again I'd take my original covers off right after purchase and cover the bolster so it doesn't poke through.
You can replace the covers with equal or better for between $500 - $1000 once yours wear out.
Keep it original ,
If your leather wears out in a few years , you can replace it for around $ 500.00 , as for the $ 79 set , you will be replacing those once a year .
save those $79's and buy a new set of leather in a few years .
I hope I made sense
I'll disagree (slightly) with the others. I DO agree that the cloth seat covers are a no-no. That being said, I do use the neoprene covers occasionally. They're a reasonably quick slip on / slip off and they also don't look half bad (not as good as leather, but.....). I've got two sets red/black from Mid-America and and all black set from Wet Okole (came with the car). The Okole's fit beautifully and I can take them on or off in less than 10 minutes. The Mid-America's don't fit as well, but the red inserts give the interior a temporay 'lift' from the black and grey
I'll disagree with everyone else. If you've got a dog in the car, why don't you just put the cover over the seat when the dog is going to be in the car, then take them out later?
I bought my vette in October (it's a 99) and the previous owner used those sheepskin seat covers. The seats look great and I'm glad he used them, but I wouldn't be caught with them in my car. JMO.

What do you think about them and do you have a better solution without getting off the topic.

Alan if they are the black material ones with the corvette logo i bought those and i sent them back they were awful cheaply made.I bought a set of sheepskin seat covers for my vette instead from a place in pa where i live they mailed them out to me and they were less money then they were in mid america's book......... charlene
Heard alot of good things about Iggee covers.....They look like leather but are a synthetic giving you the look of stock with the protection you are looking for. My Oak seats look like new after 7 years but only because they have been covered. I can only imagine what they would look like if they were left exposed all this time. I do get alot of positive compliments about my Wet Okole's BTW.

I have the Solid Black Wet Okole's with the C5 logos. I get lots of compliments on them.

I got the Iggee's Custom Covers when my driver's side bolster wore out. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I love them. It was kind of an experiment to see if I wanted to switch my interior over to red and black. I did and I do.
Why would you not want to sit on the original seats? Don't worry about it. Enjoy the car and all the fun that goes w/ it. Don't forget, we only go around once....Good luck.
