Help with seat belt problem
The seat belt on(1998) pass.side extended when my wife used it, but would not retract when she got out. I took the cover off the retract unit and rewound manaully. NOW it will not extend. Found no reason it should not work. Need help (she won't ride with me till it's fixed) maybe I don't have problem.lol

There was a TSB and Recall issued on the '97-'00's. Make sure your car has had the fix.

I would have a dealer check it out.
There was also a 2004 issue with the retractor. If your work had been done by a previous owner and defective parts were used this could also be the culprit.

mine were doing the same, replaced them with a newer year set , and so far
