I am need of new brake pads, the ACDELCO Duramax pads that I have one the car for about 5,000 miles are not cutting it, so I am looking at these...
HAWK BRAKE PADS "Street Performance" but I am considering just going all out and getting the "High Performance" pads.
Any recommendations, suggestions or performance notes on pads?
Thanks in advance,
Micah
I had the HAWK "High Performance" pads....they worked great all except the massive dust so I changed the pads once again to ceramic. Still have the great stopping power with very little dust. I/or my tech probably still have them if you are interested I can sent them to you. IM me if interested and we can discuss.
I just bought a set (F & R) of Hawk HPS pads for $150 shipped. I don't know if this is a good price but if you need a set let me know so I can contact the dealer. I'll take a pic of the drilled/ slotted rotors I just got in and post it.
I have the Z06 pads and they're really great. I have yet to run them on the track to see how they handle the heat, but on the street they're great so far. What I look for in a street pad is same braking performance cold and warm from driving. I've found that more performance oriented pads take more stopping pressure when they're cold for the first couple of stops, and that gets annoying. Just go with a Z06 pad, they were meant for the street mainly...

I am running the ZO6 pads and they are okay, but they didn't seem to last long enough for me. And they get quite dusty.
