Default a/c not working.......

Live In Florida..... A/c Was Working Perfect. Temps Dropped To 50's So I Used The Heater For A Few Days. Then Temps Were In The High 70's Again. So, I Turn On The A/c And Now It Blows Regular Air- No A/c. Help Its Humid !!

wish we had your hot weather problem here
now for the A/C problem , do you hear th AC clutch engage ?( compressor run )
if not your freon might be low , and the pressure switch is staying open.

Default Be specific

You will need more information to get A/C help. Does the compressor click on when you turn on the a/c. Does the compressor cycle?

It is difficult to provide help without more specific information. There is always the option to take it in for service.

Have a nice day.. From way down in South Louisiana. Look at the avitar,, the boats in the background are gone.

Default AC Problems

Check your outside air temperature sensor. If it is not working properly, the air conditioner will not "know" it's hot enough outside to cause the controller to put a demand on the AC, even though it's engaging.

123sugey,

Do you have the electronic or manual A/C heater controls?

Are you able to feel the cold on one of the A/C pipes going into the firewall on the passenger side?

Has the battery ever leaked and possibly damaged the vacume lines/BCM below?

Can you hear the air mixture 'door' moving when you shift from hot to cold?

There have been reports of the mechanical actuating arm for the air mixture 'door' becoming dislodged -- do a search for it..

I am having a similar problem. When ever I hit the AC button (I have the electronic system) the light on the button will flash about 4 or 5 times. The compressor clutch does not do anything.

I just had the compressor replaced recently so I went back thinking it was a faulty compressor. They said that the compressor is working so there is some problem between my HVAC and the compressor.

I am getting the code B0446 ( lest actuator out of range) I do not think that would make the compressor not turn on (plus I know this has been a problem for awhile but I do not usually have passengers so I do not care about that side of the car).

I have thought that the system might be out of freon but i figured the compressor would at least go through one cycle. I guess I could just popping in some more freon but would not want to overcharge the system if that is not it.
