Have any of you ever tried to buy back a vette that you previously owned? I tried to buy back my 93 after having the blues for selling it a year ago, only to discover that as I'm about to make the guy an offer he couldn't refuse... his girlfriend had wrecked it 2 months ago!!

Not me, but I have a buddy who can't ever stop talking about the car he sold another friend. He keeps saying he wants to buy it back. Don't think the other friend will go for it though
I get butterflies in my stomach when every once and a while I run into a Vette I have owned driving around town. but that's about it , happy with the C5 I have now , all 6 previous vettes I have owned were older generations .
a stupid dealer sent me letter saying they want to buy back my 1999 corvette, so a I can get a new 2006 car. *haha* My car is not for sale for anything less then 100k... that's what it's worth to me!
Yep, I did. I owned a 1978 Silver Anniversary edition coupe. I sold it for $9,000 in 1983 and I bought it back from the new owner in 1984 for $10,000. Yeah, I know it was stupid and the new owner screwed me on the price, but I missed owning it and I wanted it back bad enough to pay the extra $1,000.

I had an 89 dark red metallic that I loved. I sold it when I got out of the Army back in 95. I love my C5 but I would love to buy back that 89 and keep my C5.
For years I regretted letting my wife talk me into selling my Nissan 240SX. It was a great little sporty car. It started making noises, needed $700 engine work. She convinced me to sell while I could still get something for it. I even thought about trying to buy it back. After I sold it, I got a new '02 Hyundai Elantra. A nice car, but I really regretted losing the Nissan 240SX.
Until the C5. One month ago, I got my '01 Vette, sold the Hyundai Elantra. Thanks to my wife for persuading me to sell the Nissan 240SX.
I sold my 69 about 3 years ago to Blake Kerkovitch her on the forum and I asked the him to contact me first should he ever decide to sell it. Well he did, only problem was that it was about 5-6 months before I was ready to buy another toy... I tried like hell but I just couldn't make the #'s work. It's now owned by another forum member Daytona 69, and I've asked him to let me have another shot at it if he decides to let her go. He also said he would... God I miss that car!!!! The Z is great and all but it's not my gas guzzling, obnoxiously loud, crude 69!!!! I hope I can get her back some day!!!!!!!!
Because of a divorce, in 1991 I sold my 1980 (L-82), turbo-charged, (early C3factory) side exhaust, 10,000 mile vette to my cousin for $15,000. (yeah, it was that nice) Last week my cousin asked me if I wanted to buy it back for $10,000. Of course, now its a high milage car with 17,000 miles on the clock. It just sits in his garage. he hasn't even started it for the last 4 or five years. (at least it has mobile 1 in it because of the turbo) By the way it still has the original factory goodyear tires on it, that were on it when I purchased it new. I had to tell him that I wasn't interested since I love my C5. I guess I probably should buy it back from him and resell it.
I had a 2004 medium spiral gray metallic coupe with a torch red interior that I traded in on a C6. I wish I had kept it. I'm not sure where it is now. I traded it in at the dealership, and they sold it a couple of months later.
