I too really like where you mounted your radar detector
I may have to get me one of those gadgets, and if I do, that's where it's going

Did you use the power off the back rearview for the GPS, or did you run wires down to a power outlet?

The 700 magellan road mate was $400.00 (refurbished, w/3yrs warranty) has all of the US and Canada already in its hard drive. Not to mention all the places to eat, rest stops, etc. etc.

I ran one down the pillar to the accessory fuse and connected both the radar detector and GPS. I also used it to power the pillar gauges.

The top one is the air/fuel ratio gauge, connected to one of the O2 sensor wires. The lower is the fuel pressure gauge. It's connected by a wire to a remote sending unit on the fuel rail.

Do you mean you tapped into a hard wire that feed your detector with the power source of your GPS? I am seriously looking at getting one before CRUISIN this May.
