I got a really good deal on the table on a 2002 pewter coupe i just really wasnt into the pewter but since it is such a good deal it has grown on me what do you guy's or girl's think of the color? i havent bought it yet but i really have to answer him by morning i gave him deposit to kick it over tonight!
I think all colors have their own specialty quality, yellow or red is more loud and sporty, pewter and silver are classy colors, etc...... but most important is that you have to be happy. If your having second thoughts, that may be a sign that you wont be happy in the future. Goodluck!!
I think pewter or silver has always been a very classy color on vettes, bmw's or mercedes. I like all vettes but pewter has always been my favorite color on them. Most important thing is, can you be happy with it.
IMHO ... It really doesn't matter a rats "tail" what we all think about pewter. It matters what YOU think about pewter! Don't buy the car on the acount of we all think .... Buy it if you like the color and the car will make YOU happy.
Pewter is an awesome color. Keep in mind that black, torch red and yellow are hard colors to maintain because of the lack of metal flake while the pewter not only reflects the sun it does not soak it up like a dark blue or black. You do not get as much oxidation on a silver or pewter. I own both a black and dark blue car and the cars just soak up the heat in the summer. I come from a family sold on Cadillacs and they all comment on how luxurious the pewter looks on my Vette. I would buy a BROWN Vette, or so I used to tell my dad. I got a pewter one and it is beautiful. Getting the right car is far more important than the color.

I only went with Quicksilver because a Pewter wasn't available and this one fell into my lap and I couldn't walk away from the deal. I love my Quicksilver, but I would have been equally pleased, if not happier with a Pewter. Well, okay, truth be told, Spiral Gray would have been my first choice.
Aw hell, it probably wouldn't have mattered to me what color it was. They ALL look good!!! (but coincidentally, every car I currently own is one shade of silver or another -- 4 at present).
Get what YOU will really make you happy. I have learned through the years that I should get what I really want because I end up wasting money and not really being happy until I do so. That being said - me thinks pewter rocks.
As has been said, it depends on what you're looking for. Since you asked for opinions: I like more agressive colors on sports cars. So with that being said, I don't really care for Pewter. It's a nice enough color, and again, it looks classy on the C5. Yet it's just not for me. I wouldn't buy one in that color. Just be sure and get what you want. If you were completely sold on the Pewter, you wouldn't not be asking for our opinions on it – just food for thought.
