Has anyone ever tried dyeing a convertible top made out of canvas material, I have a 98 C5, the car is Black on Black with a Charcoal colored top, and I'd like to dye it black or know if this can be done and what type of dye to use and how it should be done?undefined
Don't know about you but I would only dye my top if I was really to hard up for cash to buy one in the color I wanted.
I have sold canvas paint/dye in autos stores that I used to work at. Either it worked great and the customers went on about there business or it came out bad and they were too embarrassed to let anybody know. No good feedback on my end. Sorry.
I'm thin'n along the same lines, there. It's been coated to repel water and other stuff... not absorb. Seems like any paint or dye would eventually wash off or jsut flake off. I'm not brave enough to try, though.
