I just bought a 2001 cpe with ZO6 motorsport wheels on it. The original owner did not include the key so I had to have the locks removed for $40 when I replaced the tires. I have had trouble finding a replacement lugnut set b/c the lugnuts he installed are chrome capped nuts rather than the open style from GM. To add to my frustration the lugnuts are tapperd at the bottom just like stock but then continue strait down for another 5/16" so as to fit between the lug and the wheel/lug hole. My question is do I need to replace the lugnuts with this tapperd/strait style nut or can I use stock style nuts and be done with it?
'House of wheels' has chrome cap-type lugnuts for sale with a locking feature shipped for about $25.00 for a complete set. I have some and they are nice.
