OK, I got my screens today from Vetteshop. Nice quality and finish. But I'm looking at the attached double sided mounting tape and I'm wondering if this stuff is going to hold.
Should I just pull that stuff off and use some epoxy? Even duct tape looks like it would be a better choice.

Not sure what came with your kit, but good 3M double sided automotive tape works great, but surface prep is paramount. Remove wax from paint and make sure it is clean, clean, clean.

I used the 3M to put on my Caravaggio spoiler and it works well. I used the denatured alcohol to take off the wax first.
I got the same screens and cleaning is very important. If you take some sand paper and scuff up, and then clean it real well (they send alcohol pads to clean the area with) where the double sided tape is going stick, I don't thing you will have any problems. Mine are on seem to be holding just fine.

...If you ever try to get the screens off its murder unless you use velcro. Use velcro so the screens can be removed easily. I used velcro on my Z06 screens and to get them out I just slip a sheet of stiff plastic to seperate the velcro...otherwise it holds like its permanent
It will hold. Be very careful with the install on the rear screens. I lost both of mine in less than a week... All of the other ones have been good for about a year so far and over 20k miles.
I got the same 3 pc set from Vetteshop. On the driver side cowl one side came loose and had trouble with both the back ones. I got some 3m industrial strength double sided tape and haven't had any problems since.

Velcro is another good, and even better option in my opinion.
BUT, if you are talking about the Z06 front screens, they are NOT going to fall out with 2 sided tape. They are constantly being shoved into your car as you drive

Where did you buy your 3m double sided tape?I asked in one store and they looked at me like i was a nut and said they only carry one type and it was not the industrial kind. Thanks charlene
I put my screens on 3 years ago with double side tape and I'll have to use a crowbar to get them off.
Allow me to tell you where you can get the best double sided, water proof tape - Golfsmith ( or any other golf club component distributor ) sells double sided tape for REGRIPPING golf clubs. I use this stuff at least 2 times a week for jobs that come up around the house and it's never failed.( just don't buy the water soluable type ). When you apply it you can spray it with a solvent or some turpintine and it will remain moveable until the turp evaporates - allows you to get the right fitment.
