Can someone help me.I have a 2002 corvette that has been sitting for about three mouths. So I wanted to start it and the battery was dead. So I tried to jump start it with a battery charger that had jump starter on it.The car started for about ten minute so I cut it off and brought a opitma battery. I put it in and now the car starts up and all my dash lights stay on and [Reduced engine power ]comes on .And my[ low fuel] light comes on. I have a full tank of gas, and my keyless entry transmiter an door locks an windows, power ant. and radio does not work. And my check gages, abs, seat belt, active handling and all my intreior lights stay on... I was wondering if I messed up the computer or something when I jumped started the car...............please help..Thanks

You may want to try disconnecting the negative terminal from the battery for a half an hour, then try reconnecting it to reset everything. Sorry to hear that you're having trouble...
Dude - I saw the same EXACT thing last week when I went to test drive a '99 convertible. All the same dash warnings and electrical anomalies you mentioned. I thought the computer had gone bezerk or the car had been hit by lightning. I refused to drive it and the sales guy told me the battery had in fact died and the car had been acting this way ever since. Turns out - after talking with several Vette owners I work with - that this is what happens when the battery goes dead. The car had to be sent down the road to an authorized Chevy dealer (I test drove on a 'Corvette Specialty' lot - not a Chevy dealership) to have the computer reset properly. I don't think it was that expensive for them to fix. Let me know if I can find out more for you.
Go here and see what codes you are getting http://www.stengel.net/diccodes.htm
Then post them here and we can help.
But before doing that disconnect the negative side of the battery and make sure you have a full charge on your battery. I am sure it is an easy fix and can be re-set with out going to the dealer
o.k. I when in diagnostic mode and it said. 10-pcm no comm.28-tcs no comm.40-bcm no comm.58-sdm no comm. 60-ipc no comm.80-radio no comm.99-hvac no comm.ao-ldcm no comm.al-rdcm no comm.bo-rfa no comm. what do you thank.

I am working on my '98 Pace car now, it sat on foam blocks with a disconnected battery through the winter and when I hooked it back up the battery was dead. I started it after it was on the charger for about 1/2 an hour and turned it off after a minute or so, now it's being a bit odd. The DTC codes indicate what appears to be random comm loss... Any suggestions on how to reset the computer manually to something a little happier? It seems to be running fine, just complaining a lot.
I got a suggestion from a dealer in Dallas and thought it was too easy and he was out of his mind but tried it anyway. Worked like a charm.
He said that the computer can be left in an unusual state when you connect a battery due to the flashing on and off of power while connecting it and charging it enough to start it wasn't much better.
Drive it for a few miles, put it back in the garage and clear the assorted codes then let it sit for a couple of hours.
When I tried this on mine I put a charger on it overnight without disconnecting it from the car to insure that I had full charge and that the on/off electrical flashes that happen when you connect a battery didn't happen. As I said, it seemed too easy to work... it did though.
