Don't do it if you're a private individual with the 2 month plan. Carfax cancelled my privilages after I helped a forum member and one other. Threatened to charge me for the 3 vin checks I did do.
I explained I was just trying to help several others and they indicated they would not charge me for the 3 times I did it. Thankfully.
I understand their position so apologized accordingly. But they do have a way of tracing back to the indivisual. So be careful!
