I really do feel for you! I did a bad thing and took the traction control button off and almost destroyed mine on a juvi romp when I first got it, All I could remember was the seasoned owner of Atlanta Vette telling me was to never take the traction control button off when you punch it in a turn from start. It is not your Mustang GT from 1985....I am sure some folks are laughing at me for what I did, and they can handle the car far superior too my skill and that may be you also? I have learned to fear and respect the vehicle and not push it beyond my limited abilities. Drive school is on the schedule! I wish you the best on the repairs.
This was my buddy's car. He says it dives BETTER then new. Good luck to ya.
Hey Jeep....was his frame bent?
Yes.... the frame was bent. They cut the frame off just in front of the firewall. They said is was very close to a total. The Z06 only had 4,000 miles. $21,000 to fix. Car looks and drives great.
And yes, He was playing around doing a burn-out with TC off, and lost it going into 2nd. This is what he hit.

Thanks for the kind words.....and just to help put this in perspective...this bent frame and all was done @ 30 mph when I hit a GMC Sonoma that ran a stop sign! So yes everyone...Do be careful
I can't imagine this is easy for you, and I applaud you for that. I would be so devastated if that happened to my baby. Thanks for reminding us to be defensive drivers and hope all goes well getting her back.
I cut the whole front end off a car frame and all due to an accident. I carefully welded on another front frame section, with the help of a friend, and the car was as good as new....Go for it!
A Camaro story but a good perspective: I ordered a 1998 Camaro SS on Feb 1 1998 and waited 3 mos. to have that 6-speed baby delivered on May 1. Hot-rodding one night - as a young man might - I lost it on July 9 and scraped the front end off of it - just like yours almost and just 2 mos after I got it.
Anyway, I remember going to the garage almost every day to check on it's rebuilding status. It was tough.
When it finally came out (in OCTOBER - thanks to a shortage on the new 98 SS hood) it was better than ever! I will never forget - one of the 1st days I took it out, I was at a gas station in Amherst, MA for gas . . . the attendant just said, "Dude! Fu**in' awesome Camaro!"
