I've seen a lot of comments about wanting a jack for C5s. Just found this on the net and thought everyone else might like to see it. Claims it is only 4" tall and the stock C5 height is a bit over 5" so it should fit. I put frame rails on my 01 vert and use a motorcycle jack when I need to lift it. http://www.autoaccessconnect.com/1ton12voelsc.html
Got mine at Wal Mart (same jack). $39.95. Works great. NOT slow.

I got mine there. Same price
I mentioned and showed this jack several months ago and got flamed for it. But it is one sturdy and fast jack. Has a claw foot base. Lifts the Corvette without any problems. Fits in the center storage compartment.

BUT, will it fit under a C5 with a FLAT TIRE ? I measured to my front side jack point and got only 5.25 inches with a full pressure tire. My car is NOT lowered either. So I doubt this would fit under a C5 with a flat tire. You would probably have to put a piece of plywood under the claw base if you wanted to use it on soft (road shoulder) ground.
Looks like a good jack for maintenance use, but not for flat tire road use.
I will be posting soon on the electric jack.....with pictures.......worked fine on my lowered car after a.....well........modification
Took me 40 seconds with my manual jack.............40 with this electric to raise the rear. less than 35 to lower...........vs 5 seconds with the manual.
11 lbs vs 21 with my other

Looks like when you get a flat, you'll still have to try and drive onto a wooden block But hey beats carrying a heavy hydraulic jack in the car and faster than a manual siccors jack. Looks like i will be looking into this jack. I would only carry with 2 wooden blocks for trips outta town, one block to raise the car high enough to get the jack high enough and the other one a lot thinner one to support the claws from burying themselves on the side of the road.
