just got back from column recall

Default just got back from column recall

I just got back home at about 2:00 after being at the dealer since 9:00 I left the dealer at 12:45 got the column lock removed no issues gave the guy $40 that was working on the car and they were really careful, i dont think there is any damage nice job... I guess no more worrying for me I hope......Just thought i'd post for those of you like me that never want to return to the dealer

I hope it works out for you. I'll stick with the CLB I installed. BTW, my dealer would need to PAY ME to work on my car.

Well, some of us need someone else to do it.....I know I do. If I can't trust my dealer, and he KNOWS how I feel about this car! plus the service writer KNOWS how I am with this car....and they take care of ole 'Sweetness'.....you just have to let them know how much you care about it.

Huh? Did the dealer disable the column lock? Thought they couldn't do that in an MN6. If the column lock is not disabled, I'd install the CLB.

The new procedure now removes the locking plate from MN6 models. I had the same thing done last week. There are several threads on this subject.

Thanks for the update! Since I did the CLB, I lost track and didn't realize that a new procedure was in place.
