Default Seat Problems

I have had my 2002 C5 for 4 years and love the car. However I have had trouble with the driver seat as long as I have had the car. It will work perfectly for a month or so and then will stop when the seat moves forward like it is catching on something. I have had it fixed several times...but it always eventually starts acting up again. I can't even use the easy entry option because it will start acting up again for sure. This is a problem because everyone knows how hard it is to get in and out of a Vette...even with a good back. Anyone had this problem...any ideas on a fix? By the way I have checked and it's not catching on loose change or anything like that.
Thanks...RonC

I had this problem for the first time a couple of days ago ... but it hasn't come back.

I have something similar going on from time to time: I get in and the seat starts repositionning itself and then stops in the middle of its course. Usually, I have to activate the horizontal position button on the lower left of the seat a few times forward. Each time I hit the button, the seat will go maybe a 10th of an inch and stop. After a couple of *push* I can hit the memory button again and the seat will reposition itself just fine. It does not happen often enough so that I really tried to fix it, but I'd bet that it is some position sensor that is losing track of its position for a section of its course. If someone had a diagram of that particular item, we could go and take a look. Anyone?

Fellas, I've replaced everything and heard it's either the memory motors themselves or the wiring harness - SCm AND everything else on my car has been replaced.

My 2000 would "hunt" on occasion. One of the position sensors was bad and replaced. Of course the whole frame had to be replaced instead of just the one sensor. As I understand it, the easy exit feature really works the seats and may cause failures such as what I experienced.
