Ok everyone.. mod #2 is done. (#1 was the K&N intake)
I had a set of PIAA 1100x sitting around so I went ahead and took the leap. I was a bit scared since it seemed like the foglights were almost impossible to reach... and to my surprise.... it was EASY!! it took me a total of 1.5hr with clean up and doing it alone.
I thought I would share some photos for people out there needing help.
Pic 1: the headlight plastic bazel was removed to access the foglight. easy to reach with smaller hands.
do you have a pic of where you ran attached the our wire coming from your PIAA?
I'm not to sure what you are asking for. How I connect the fog lights to the wiring harness? it is split like a "Y". one end of the Y is longer than the other one. so where I grounded the wire ,PIC 6, you can see the split there (right of the red circle). from there the short "Y" part went to the right fog light (passenger) and the longer "Y" part went in front of the car under the K&N filter.
PS> I did not wire this to the relay box. I ran the PIAA switch and 12V wire to the drivers side. I didn't want to splice anything into the relay box.
Where did you tap in for + power. The instructions I have (corvettedreams.com) call for attaching it to the fuse box main power terminal, located at far passenger side of the fuse box.

Thanks
I didn't not tap into the relay box or cut the PIAA swtich off. I kinda like the PIAA swtich anyways, the PIAA relay switch hidden a bit but its to the right of the red circle in PIC 5. Its not picture but its right where the pic ends.
For inside the car and the PIAA switch, in is double faced taped right next to the hatch release and fog lights switch. and I had to run a 12V power source from the PIAA switch to the AUX fuse (I think its AUX) under the passenger carpet... its the same fuse I used for the amp. Pretty sure its ok, all the switch needs is a 12V signal which inturns the PIAA relay opens (or closes which ever it is).
For the main + power for the lights, yes this goes to the battery terminal.
why couldn't you use the existing factory fog light switch (and wiring) for the PIAA relay?
It would be a cleaner looking install and the wires are already there!
