Vette is going in next month to get some much needed TLC on the paint and body. Keeping it the stock Sebring Silver but most if not all of the car is going to be repainted. 120K miles with a lot of those at a high rate of speed has really done a number on the nose, hood and rockers. I have decided to flame the car while it is in. I am not going to copy any one car but need to give the graphic designer a starting point for ideas. I am interested in the shapes and patterns and the amount of the car that is covered. I am leaning towards doing the flames in shades of silver. Not ghosted but not real hard in your face either.
The car is going to Richey Collision here in Houston. It is highly regarded around here.
Check my sig and my website for more.
I also have this from the OC show last year
That is pretty close. Probably a very good starting point. Just about the coverage I am thinking but with more 3D effect or detail.
Thanks Iceburgh!
I saw your car at the Cruise In 2004.
My favorite flame job was Mike Hefner's purple ghost flames / skulls on his black FRC. Fortunately for me I know Mike and got to see that car quite a bit.
That looks great. Was the guy who did that featured on the Discovery channel doing a 32 coupe?
The flames on your vette are really tasteful, bold and different all at the same time. The flames under the hood make it a first class job, the extra detail needed to really set it off. I would love to see more pics.
