Default Aftermarket Shift ****

Okay, after all the with installing, I hate it. I was driving my car home and the adapter came loose and I had to make sure I didn't rip it off. I am just going back to stock. I love the ****, it is awesome, but the things I have to go through for this thing just seems to be making it a pain the !

I guess you could say I am just and new to vent.

I'd love to try to help, but I have no idea what **** you're having a problem with.

I have a screw-on (not that set screw junk) Hardbar ****, and I love it.

I should have been more clear, it is the adapter that is driving me nuts, the shifter ball is great, the adapter continues to come loose.

This is the shifting **** I got:

http://www.westcoastcorvette.com/pc-...hift-****.aspx

I am using this adapter:

http://www.madvet.com/shop?frame=1.50.4029

Hope this helps, I am going to have to remove my center console again, don't ask why, it is just something I have to do to fix this problem.

I hated it as well. The adapter made the **** sit so high up it was awkward. I could never get the thing to remain steady. I went back to stock.

Yeah, this thing has cost me more money and time than it was worth.

I have the same setup you have. I have not had any problems yet and it has been on for a year. I did not have to remove the console to install mine. Thats sounds like a lot of work to get to the set screw. Good luck...

The reason I remove the entire center console is to ensure that the shift boot is not damaged in assembly and disassembly, I reenforced it to prevent possiblities of it being damaged. You are right, you should not have to do that, but I do. I am so good at removing my console, it ain't even funny.
