Default Lifting up your Z06

I want to jack up the Z to be able to work on the brakes. The manual shows the lifting points on the inside of the front wheels and in the rear. I will be using a floor jack and to get to the front lifting points you would have to put the jack completely under the car.
There are small oval holes on the outer edge of the frame just under the doors. Can these points be used to place the floor jack for lifting without any damage seeing as I only need to raise one wheel at a time.

do what most diyers do. drive the car up on ramps or wood blocks. then jack up from the front center and rear center jack points and put on stands. too much of a hassle to do it from the side points. and if you do that- where are you going to put ur stands?

those holes are meant to have jacking pucks inserted into them and then you can jack up from those points.

I use a set of pucks I made from hockey pucks and big eyebolts. Jack up front drivers side, slide stand under, jack up front pass side, stand goes in, take 25" 2x6 board and place on floorjack, slide under rear structural mamger, jack up rear end at once, stands go on wood to either side of the jack. Done. No ramps needed, if you have a low enough jack and your car is stock height.

Jacking pucks are easy to purchase...some guys even make there own and they work great for lifting the car. They save you from having to drive the car up on ramps, etc which takes more time than sticking the pucks in. I have tried the ramps and driving the car up on a piece of wood and then sticking a jack under the car, but the pucks are the easiest for me. There may be some situations, depending on the type of work you need to do and how high off the floor you need the car to be that ramps may be a help, but for most lifting needs, the pucks are the most user friendly.

Good luck!
