Default How much louder are headers

I have a vert with Corsa Indy's and wonder how much louder the headers would make it. Any help here.

Not a lot louder, but a deeper more mellow sound is likely. Do you have a vette club near you where you can hook with someone who has LT headers and CI's?

WKMCD here on the forum had that exact setup. When he put the headers on he said it got too loud, he swapped out the exhaust. You may want to chat with him about it.

I currently have Borla Stingers but am switching to a Ti exhaust next weekend. I'm hoping I get more of the sound I'm looking for without it being overwelming.

was pondering this same thing except wondering if the Xpipe would tame it a bit. i've read plenty of guys who went to a Ti exhaust after headers but i love the CIndie sound so much. Would the Xpipe add-on tame the header noise explosion ????

Absolutely not true. Sound will ultimately be the result of the components you use. If your exhaust is loud now, it will be louder or maybe more muscular.
Nicest sound I've heard so far is LT's, hi-flow cats, x-pipe and Corsa Touring mufflers. Nice in "normal driving" but sweeet when you get aggressive.
And absolutely no resonance inside the car.

I am running LPE headers, random tech xpipe and Indies. Absolutely love it. Not to loud for cruising but when you get on it (especailly under overpasses) it is unbelievable. Right after getting them installed i had the top down and was under bridge when I hammered down on it.. It literally scared me at first but now I love.

I have the same setup and agree. I have been told when I get on it it sound like I'm running open headers. I would love to hear it from the outside but now one drives it but me.

Woo hoo. That's what I'll have when I get up to DTE in April.
