I prefer to leave mine turned on. I'm 5'6" so I have to have the seat fairly well forward; however it is next to impossible to egress when the seat is in that position. That's why I like the "easy exit" feature.

6'5", 254lbs.... needless to say, I don't use the easy exit feature, cause the steering wheel moving towards the dash makes it hard for my legs to fit past, and my seats are already as far back/down as they go.

I assure you all, I'd use it if I were short.

I have read (don't remember where) that you should cycle the telescopic column occasionally to keep it working -

It makes it easier to get into, and if it wears out or breaks, it should not be brain surgery to fix it - the column would be the tought of the two things to work on, but still -

Use it!!!

I use that feature all the time. That's why I got it on the car.

I use mine 24x7. Love it - so much nicer to get in and out.

Odd thing, I'll bet others have is INCONSISTENCY in getting in when and what comination you have to use to get the damn seat to go to one of the two presets.

Most of the time, get in, close door, insert key and the seat moves forward. Sometimes that doesn't work, so have to push memory 1. No clear method seems to determine if it works the same way every time on moving forward - on shut-down and exit, it always scoots back upon key removal.

Mine, you can hear the leather seats rubbing against something and is sort of annoying, but I keep the leather nicely 'lubed' and minimizes it to some degree.

Thanks all for your good advice. Seems like the relationship between a cowboy and his horse: spend time with it, go ahead and ride hard sometimes, and take good care of it...
