As I posted previously, I'm looking to get CCW 505A's for my wifes Z16. Based on your previous responses and the fact that I can't install the C6 Z06 runflats without modifications, I narrowed it down to these (2) choices.
Personally, I'd prefer to go with the PS2's but I am wondering if that's smart since my wife does drive this car without me sometimes.
Installing run-flats without the sensors is dangerous. You could be driving on a flat for weeks and never know it until the tire gives. It won't look flat nor fell it.
How often have you actually had a flat tire?
I'm putting new wheels on my wifes C-5 and going with non run flats. Better ride quality. Just carry a can of fix a flat.
First, which ever tires you go with, put tire pressure sensors on your Z. It will give you advanced warning of air loss. Easy to do, search here on the Forum.
Since you are looking at 18 and 19 inch wheels, go for the 18/75 supercar EMT off the 2006 ZO6 (front tire). Then the 19/85 off the back of the 2006 C6 Z51 option, (rear tire).
Mod'ing it to add the sensors and use run-flats adds a lot of unsprung weight. This will affect your performance. In addition, it will affect your peace of mind, especially concerning the safety of you wife (hopefully. one of the few things in life more highly prized than your Z06).
