Busted Cats?
So, I posted a thread a couple days ago that talked about my rattle noise during any amount of acceleration. I took a clip of what it sounds like but I can't post it here because I dont know how to and I dont have a server anywhere that will host it for me.
I got to thinking about it and I'm not sure but it sounds like it is comeing from under the car about mid body where the cats are. The cats aren't loose but I can't get under the car to fully inspect them.
Does anyone know what a broken OEM catalytic converter sounds like?
I'd be more than happy to send you the video clip that has the sound I hear during acceleration.

Mine sounded like a small washer in a muffler. Sometimes it was constant, sometimes it setteled down. It was worse with vibration, either from the road or higher revs. It had no coorelation to gear, RPM, or road speed. Drove me nuts till I figured out what it was. When I got them off, there was a small crease in the cat where it bottomed out. The element inside was in about 4 pieces.
