Default Cutouts.

I have Long tube headers, No cats, X pipe, and Z06 axle back Ti Mufflers. Sounds great, quite when Im just out cruising, But im thinking for track nights I might want to open it up a little bit. I just came from the Fbody world, and just about everybody has them, Are they pretty common on corvettes? And where is everybody putting them? If I do them, they wont be electric, they will be manual. Anybody got pics?

Here's mine... LG Pro LT headers and Z06 Ti system... Cutouts are made by QTP and are electric (switch is in the center console, why do it any other way?!?)

There are several forum members that have cutouts installed (I think Patches is one of them). But if you're going to do it, why not go with the electric route?

I think you'll get sick of jacking up the car (with jackstands) to crawl under to R&R them. That would get old real fast.

Well, on Fbodys, you didnt need to jack up the car, they where reachable while it was on the ground. After looking, and thinking about where they will have to be located on the Corvette, I dont think manual would be the smart way to go. Thanks guys.

Besides the intimdation factor this might have on an opponent do they actually contribute to making more power. It looks like these are installed after the cats (if cats are still on) I was allways told it was the cats that had the most restriction, This being the cas can these be installed before them?
