Default my thoughts on vettes!

hey guys i want a vette really bad! i have a deal in work and i find out monday if i pick up a 1999 red with 60k miles on it and automatic tranny. i dont mind the auto too much. makes my driving a little easier these days. hopefully the deal falls through! ill be getting it for about $23,800 and i will have tax credit from the trade. i also have some ugly dis-equity i have to deal with but that is being worked on.
i really like the vette because the gas mileage is good when u are taking it easy. i also love the exhaust note on them with aftermarket stuff. i also love the interior and how it feels like a fighter jet inside (for the most part). i also like the insurance on them. they are much better on insurance compared to a cobra (for obvious reasons). the styling really gets to me and i really love it. the hatch area seems to have enough room for me to throw stuff in there should i need it.
here is my delimma! i tend to go through cars like candy. i know i am not alone in this. i know some of u out there and people around the world do it too. i feel extremely confident that if i get this car, i will keep it for a very long time. i have no kids and i am divorced. i am also 26 years old. im a big time car junky and i cannot seem to find a car i want to stick with. i think about it everyday for the past year...what if i woke up one morning and i owned a vette? how would i feel? honestly, i would feel very very good. not everyone owns a vette out there and i love the attention they get. i plan on using this as a daily driver (for the most part!). i know there is nothing like a vette out there on the road. there is no other car that receives grand attention like a vette.
i remember when i used to get that special feeling driving that special car. i felt that way when i drove my old 96 cobra. i had this really awesome feeling that was almost nostalgic. i have always wanted that feeling back! i want to walk out every morning and be like "oh my god! i own a vette! and its a C5!!" haha! honestly if the deal goes through..i dont know how i would react if they handed me the keys to this vette! i think i would go nuts LOL!
i have always enjoyed watching vette and mustang clips on the internet. i test drove this 1999 for the first time in my life. i never drove a vette before. i have owned and driven plenty of cars in my life. driving a vette feels special to me. there is something about it that feels special. i am sure most of u can say the same thing. i also like this 1999 cuz it was well maintained and taken care of. it also took the brunt of the depreciation already. i am not interesting in modding cars...lord knows i have modded imports and stangs for a long time. i just want an exhaust and maybe an intake and call it done. i want to enjoy the car for what it is..what it is worth..what it stands for. the vette is the symbol of american freedom and it is internationally known as the true american sports car. it is the only "poor man's ferrari" that is affordable. hell, these things can whoop on ferraris!
I am curious how u guys feel about your vettes or any special car you guys have owned in the past. I am also curious how u guys felt when u got your first vette in your life. gotta love that feeling!

I hope you get it.

There is an awesome feeling, when you get in your vette for the first time.

I knew, as soon as I drove it, "This is my car".

hearing the salesman's B&B exhaust on his C5 put me into gear to buy a C5.

I do wish you luck in getting the Vette. It is an incredible feeling. I love the fact that when I'm behind a school bus, all the kids pile to the back and give me the thumbs up... 20 years ago I was that kid.

im hoping and praying the banks will do this for me. i dont want to go into details but they dont like my negative equity. the over all loan will be cheaper than my 05 eddie bauer expedition. i know i shouldnt be cruising in an expedition. i have no kids and divorced. i have no use for it. that fuels me more to get a vette. the gas mileage does too LOL! when i heard the B&B exhaust in action on a dealer's vette, i just fell in love big time.

as the saying goes, "when they pry the keys from my cold dead hand" , that's when I give up my C5. Good luck with the deal, you wont regret it.

Doesn't $23,800 for a 99 with 60k miles seem kinda pricey to anyone else? I paid $25k for my 98 with 12k miles on it 3 years ago.
I had that feeling when I first got my vette also, I was 21. Now I'm 24 and I still have that feeling everytime I drive it. You just have to have one to understand it.
