I saw a forum member's show car at the Birmingham World of Wheels with this mod.
His name was Mike. He had a coupe with a bunch of body mods and a "real" flame job. The car was Navy or black. It was hard to tell in the lighting.
He had filled in the third light, cut out the letters and put LEDs behind them. He had them flashing for the show, but it looked really cool. He had also molded in the front license plate frame, and it looked equally well.
I've been contemplating this type of mod. I figure since I am going to do some body mods / re paint, mightez well. The only thing I am having issues with is figuring out what type of cover or backing to put behind the cutouts. I was thinking clear lexan or possibly some type of heavy grade red film. I am not sure what would look good (factory).
