Hood Liner
I am thinking of purchasing a hood liner for my 2000 Torch Red Vette. I have looked at Paula's which I believe are painted and Car Motorsports which are embroidered. My first reaction is I would prefer the embroidered. Paula's is about $75 more. Not a big deal. Has anyone had a chance to compare quality and how they stand up under normal conditions? How difficult are they to install? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I painted my own.
cost was about $5.00 for the paint at a craft store.
if you don't want to DIY then I would go with the embroidered hood liner.

Do your own. If you can't please yourself then go with Paula.

For quality and uniqueness, PAULAH is the way to go.
Make youR design ideas known to PAULAH and she will do wonders with them - painting (airbrush) a "work of art" that is worth every penny
Have used both options - will stick with PAULAH

If all you want is a painted hoodliner emblem, then do it yourself. However, if you want to get more elaborate then get it customized.

, Paula's work is excellent and the only limit seems to be your imagination. May cost more, but well worth it.

I agree, Paula's work is awesome and one of a kind. But, the liner is still the OE liner which imo is crappy. Rich at carmotorsport uses the OE liner and covers it. Which makes it look 100% better.. Here's an idea, order the plain kit fron Rich and have Paula paint it.

Try it yourself if you are so inclined. A new liner can be had for just under $100 from a dealer.
If you have a specific theme or can invision something, Paula is the one.
If you want a great looking liner (cover) with the logo and "Corvette" in embrodery (sp) you can't beat Car Motor Sports.
Looks Great.

Unless you have a REAL STEADY hand and can do some free form painting, DO NOT do it yourself. The embossing isn't that clean and you need to do some improvising. I made the mistake of doing it myself. I've already spent a good 6 hours painting and still have more to go
