Default c5 phantom?

anyone else getting kind of creeped out by the "windows" nature of their c5? anyone else experiencing these phenomena?
today, i got in the car with my fob (#1) and when i put the key in the ignition, it went to setting #2. wtf? so i lock and unlock and everything works fine. that was new.
sometimes when i shut the car down and pull the key, the seat doesn't move. then when i unlock it and put the key in the ignition, the seat moves all the way back? what the hell?
this isn't real common but it's often enough that it makes me a bit scared of the electronics in the car.
so far, the problem seems to only be with the memory package. i have had no other electronics issues (yet) with the rest of the car, and it runs like a raped ape so that's kind of nice.

Mine goes to setting 2 too. I just set up 2 the way I like it and use it. I don't even care about how to reprogram it. The only thing unusual mine does is after I shut the car off and get out and then start it after it's only been shut off a few minutes the seat doesn't automatically move after I put the key in the ignition. Anytime the engine has been off for at least an hour (probably much less) it always goes to setting 2 as soon as I put the key in. No big deal though, I never asked for this automatic seat stuff just a bonus.
