Default 2003 C5 Convertible Console Door

I just brought it home, my 2003 50th Anniversary Convertible!! My first question..the console door only opens at about a 45 degree angle, is this normal? Seems odd...yes, I have a warranty!!

Thx all!!
BayVette!

Very easy fix a drop of WD40 on each pivot point on each hinge and it goes away!
I was surprised it was that easy!

Guys... It is a double hinge...
lift it up to the half way position and then pull out on it and then up again.... it will open right up... no need for the oil

Pull up a bit more and it will open to the 90 degree position. They all do that.
