No one seems to have caught that you have corrosion on your battery post. Although that is not a direct cause of the over heating issue, I have to wonder if your battery is leaking onto your computer.
I am certainly no expert on this, but I hear this was a common problem at one time. Still, don't know if this would even be an issue.
The battery was cleaned and will probably continue to show some corrosion. That will be replaced soon but as for the fans having high and low settings, how do you know if both settings are working on each fan?
If the AC is not on, it will get to 235 before the second fan kicks in, so that sounds normal.
and if the dealer replaced the relay to the fans and they are working properly, then the only other thing it could be is your radiator is dirty and has debris you need to clean off.. like ET said, make sure you are actually cleaning the Radiator and not the AC condensor...I too made this mistake.
maybe a dumb question, but did you happen to rip off the center shroud under the front nose of the car? This is used to direct air up and through the AC condensor and Radiator. From what i understand if this is not there, the car will run hotter.
I have recently gone through a similar issue, turns out it was my thermostat, but i had an aftermarket one - so not sure if that could be a cuplrit as well - Mine appeared to run a little cooler on the highway, but when i stopped the temps went up quick.

Oops, it was pointed out to me the link I gave you was a C4 tech link, not C5. Sorry about that. Even so, I thought they had some good tips. John
