Default Keyless entry sync

My remote stopped working so I thought it was time to change the battery. Still not working. I read something about re-sync ing the remote. Can someone please tell me how to do that!
I have a 98. Thanx

push both lock and unlock buttons at the same time and hold them down until the horn sounds. If horn doesn't sound in 10 seconds, you need to relearn them or replace batteries.

I only had one remote when I purchased the car, and it did not work. I took it to the dealer and they checked the car and remote and determined I needed a new remote. I guess they don't last forever.

It is the manual. I just replaced my battery on my 99 coupe. It was acting strange sometimes it worked normal and then other times it would unlock doors and change all my presets.
If I remember correctly, I turned ignition on to get gauge sweep. Ran through the options on the DIC. At the end of options there is a blank page. I then held reset for a few seconds. Then Fob Training displayed. And finally I hit lock/unlock at same time on remote for about 5 seconds and the DIC will say Fob learned. Long lives the CORVETTE
