Default First road trip

We took our first extended trip in the 2002 Vette. (I have owned it for 6 weeks) Left lower Alabama and traveled to Orlando on a buisness trip. The wife wanted to fly, but I said no way. She now says she doesen't want to fly anymore and prefers to take the vette. It was a great trip. Car is very comfortable and gets great mileage, 26.5mpg (who cares about the mileage). The only drawback is the noise from the runflats. But hey, its a vette. Why did I wait until I was 58 years old to get my dream car?

Yes, the C5 is a very comfortable highway cruiser.

Did the same thing. We had our vette about six weeks and left for a half cross country trip (OK north to IL, IN, MI across to NJ, down to NC and across TN, back home). 4,000 miles in two weeks and it was great. No tickets either. WE will go west next time.

The C5 is a lot of fun on long trips. A performance car that doubles as an economy car. Can't beat that.
