This is going to be long butI need advise. I bought my 2004 z06 new in april of 2004 form Lou bachrodt chevy in coconut creek fl. After the deal was finalized, I noticed the molding around the driver side window was broken. No biggie, they fixed it. Then the car started leaking when it rained, but not from the repaired molding, I would get water dripping on my feet from under the dash. I brought it back to the dealer and they told me it was the weather stripping, i argued with them that it wasnt, but they know it all, and customers are idiots. Well they replaced the weather stripping and guess what, it still leaked. I have since moved to Pensacola fl.. I brought my car in to get the leak fixed right this time, but the service advisor called me and told me to come back because he had something to show me. He asked if my windshield had ever been replaced and if I ever had the roof repainted. I told him no I bought the car off of the showroom floor and it has never been damaged. Then a gm certified paint and body man told me that in his opinion the roof was repainted, replaced or both. He also noticed hairline cracks in the right rear quarter panel. The trim guy said that when he took the molding oiff around the window the adhesive that was used was nto from the factory, and that there was actually seals missing around the windsheild. They think it was damaged and repaired. If Lou Bachrodt sold me a damaged then repaired car without telling me, what are my options?

The first thing you do is have the dealer who discovered the damage set up an appointment for you to meet with the GM District factory service/ warranty rep. Tell him what you told us, have all your paper work from the work done by the guy you bought the car from. If it's the dealer's fault GM will make that dealer make it right - as long as they're spending someone else's money they don't mind.
One thing that concerns me in your narrative - you say that a piece was broken when you picked up the car ( and the selling dealer subsequently fixed it ) from that I'm figuring it's a used car and now you're screwed. But, later, you say you bought the car right off the showroom floor , that makes it sound like a new car in which case the selloing dealer is screwed. For your sake I hope it's new, but either way the place to start is with the GM factory rep.
BTW, if a dealer in New York state made those kinds of repairs to a new car and then sold the car "as new" it's against the law.
Good luck, my C5's roof leaks to this day (hardtop). The dealer lied to me and GM couldn't care less. I am still kicking myself in the *** for purchasing a CTS-V and giving GM another chance.
Hello... there are lemon laws, get an attorney. It may take a little time but it will work out...

Lawyers can be your friend as long as they are sitting at your table in the court room. I'd see about a suit and put the dealer in his place so your car/situation gets fixed and he doesn't screw another unsuspecting customer.
You could try the Lemon Law process- I did on my 05 F150 and though it took 5 months, Ford bought it back from me + any money I paid to have things done (hitch, tint etc...)
read the criteria carefully- as you must have either 3 attempts to fix it, or 15 days out of service. I met the 15 day part initially before the third attemp, so my third attempt was the FINAL one by this law. Even if they fix it on the third attempt you have met the criteria to go to arbitration (basically a meeting with a few people who inspect the issue and go over the paperwork to make a decision) I never made it to the hearing date as I had Ford over a barrel with them having my truck over 30 days (which is from what the Lemon Law office told me a "done deal" for them to lemon it or buy it back)
I would think that you have a strong case seeing how the car was new and sold new but damaged...I would think that if\when you file the case and get the process started Chevy would do like Ford did for me and buy it back - that way no lemon record goes on file and they can sell it to someone else..
By the way- BOLO (be on the look out) for a Red 05 F150 Lariat Extended cab with 10K miles...its a lemon!

Sounds like good advice to me. If that doesn't get you any action, you can always seek legal advice. Good luck - hope it all works out for you.
Have you talked to the selling dealer about this latest info yet? I'd start there before going to the expense/hassle of an attorney. At least find out what the selling dealer is willing to do. Let him know that you are prepared to sue if he doesn't perform satisfactorily.
Just an opinion - all too many times people "get an attorney" before they first give the opponent a fair chance to see what he's willing to do. Big winners there are the attorneys!!

Was this car bought as "brand new" -as in 6 miles? Was it a "demo" with 300? Was it used and just sitting on the showroom floor? If I bought it as new I would want my money back-period.
