Default tire sensor question

i recently upgraded my my wheels to C6 motorsports and the tire shop took the sensors out of my factory wheels and put them on my new ones. Now on my console im getting a message that states the pressure in all my tires is too high. is there a way to reset this. Thanks in advance to anyone who helps,

So - have you checked to see what the pressure actually is? It's not uncommon for tire shops to overinflate.

May be a dumb question, but did you check the tire pressures with a gauge? They may have over inflated the tires to make sure everything sealed properly and to check for leaks. When I got mine back after a wheel/tire swap, they were inflated to 42 psi.

regarless of the max pressure rating in your new tires, they should be set at 30-32 psi when cold

As others have indicated you should check to see the actual inflated pressure of your tires with a gauge. Tire shops have a habit of overinflating tires on install. The DIC warning for high pressure will come on at 42 psi. I would bet that the shop has about 40 psi in the new tires. I would lower that to 30 -32 psi cold regardless of the so called "max pressure rating" on the sidewall of the tire. Just my .02

If after checking your pressure it is OK, try retraining the sensors. Can be done easily with a strong magnet.

I agree with everything these guys above me told you. Get yourself a good air pressure gauge, and check your tires cold.

If you need to relearn the TPM - here's a link to the Tech Tips on how to do this......
