Default Feedback needed on sound insulation kit

Anyone install the sound insulation kit from supporting vendor Crazy Cowboy: http://exoticvette.com/insulation.htm

Does it work as advertised with respect to sound reduction. If so, how much is the reduction. Is it noticeable?
How long did it take you to install front and back in a coupe?
Does the carpeting go back in OK on top of the kit?
Did you install anything else to further reduce sound inside the cabin?

Tenderfoot -- I installed this kit in my 2004 convertible (front and back) and found it to both cut the noise level and someof the heat from the exhaust. It took my several days to install because I could not stay with the install full time. The pieces are numbered for install and the instructions are pretty good. The carpet goes back well, however, you'll need to trim the insulation around hold downs (seats, CD unit, rear storage units) for the carpet to fully lay down. Also, be very careful when cutting the material while it is in the car, especially around the wiring. It is very easy to slice thru wires. Overall, I'd recommend this kit.

Default Insulation kit

I installed Dan's pre-cut kit. If you are running run flats you will want to pull the rear inner fender covers and do them as well. The kit fit great. I was amazed at how many pieces there were when I opened the kit. All were numbered and the instructions were complete and easy to follow. By the way, I have purchased a number of Dan's items and he is a real stand up guy.

If I get the rear only kit to what extent will it dampen the drone from my b&b bullets?

Thanks for all the responses. Does the kit include pieces for the wheel well or did you use something else for sound insulation in this area?

When I recieved my front and rear kit, there was an extra piece included that should do the wheel wells too. When you order, ask them if the extra mat is still included. By the way, I did not use the spray glue, just alum. tape (Home Depot). Allowed me to easily move pieces around to ensure a good fit with the next piece. Good luck and remember, take your time!

I put Dan's kit in and the tunnel heat is GONE alogn with alot (not all) of the road noise.

Install was a snap once you get over the fact that you can use a utility knife to trim to fit!

I haven't read one negative post about Dans kit. And as you know... bad news is instantly posted on CF.

I installed this kit in my car also. It is easy to install but somewhat time consuming because of the disassembly involbed.

It does as advertised and cuts both noise and heat. It was a well worth the time and effort.
