Default Remote Fob question

Got my 2000 vette back from getting mods done (included a tune).
The remote FOB isn't functioning....I tried both FOB's (thinking the battery maybe died)...no luck.

Any suggestions................

Did you try to reprogram them or resync them? The procedure is floating around here somewhere..

here we go, 2 methods..I copied this from another thread

Try to resynchronize the transmitter by pressing and holding the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons for seven seconds when standing next to the vehicle." This will attempt to resynchronize the security code in your RFA key fob transmitter.

When resynchronization is achieved the horn will chirp. If attempts to resynchronize your transmitter to the vehicle are not successful, you man need to match the transmitter to the vehicle.

To match the transmitter to your vehicle:

1. Turn the ingnition key to the ON position

2. Clear any warning messages on the Driver Information Center (DIC) by pressing the RESET button.

3. Press the OPTIONS button on the DIC several times until the blank page is displayed, then press and hold the RESET button for two seconds.

4. When the message FOB TRAINING is displayed, push the RESET button once. The message HOLD LK+UNLK 1ST FOB will be displayed.

5. Press and hold the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter simultaneously for 15 seconds.

6. When a transmitter is learned, the DIC will display FOB LEARNED and then prompt you to learn the next transmitter.

7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 for each additional transmitter.

8. Remove the key from the ignition.

The programmer mode will shut off if:

-You don't program any transmitters for two minutes.

-You take the key out of the ignition.

-You have programmed three transmitters.

Hey, if your #1 works, does this mean that I can stand beside a new Z06 with my C5 fob and try to sync it? Then can I take it for a ride?

I just did the insulation install on mine. While I was working on it I had a battery charger hooked up (didn't want to run down the battery) so I could listen to the 12 cd player. When I finished the job both fobs didn't work. Just needed to be reprogrammed.
