I'm looking to spend 2-3 days to get some good instruction on a track and tips to fully appreciate what my vette can do. I have never spent any time on a track and am a real novice. The Spring Mountain Motorsports School looks like a winner. I am from the Chicago area but this looks like it may be worth the trip.
Any thoughts? Good school, any options you think I should additionally consider>
Spring Mountain is a first class operation. I went there just about a year ago for the three day class and it was the best money I've spent related to my car. If you decide to take a class there you will not be disappointed.
www.corvettedrivingschool.com We as there last year around april. Was great. The instructors are awesome, especially a ride with Henry, remember 2 Fast 2 Furious, he was a stunt teacher for the drivers. You will get lots of track time and lots of fun. Especially when hoping into one of the 2 race prepared Z06's. These cars really move. 20-30 mins into the first day you are on the track, learning braking, balance, and getting through the turns. Lots of fun, very exciting, bring a video camera, wish I had one to film the action especially when they brought a fire truck to wet the track for the slolom run.
You will learn lots on the dynamics of the car and how the tires grip the road under braking an acceleration. The car can do way , way more that any novice driver can understand.
