Veraram in Canada??
After deciding to go with an intake as my first C5 mod, I've come to the conclusion (from reading everyone's comments here) that the Veraram is the way to go. It seemed to be a popular item for the vette so I was a bit surpised when I went to the biggest mod store in our area and was told that they never heard of Veraram. I thought maybe the dude was just ignorant so I went to another place and they looked at me with the same empty expression. I actually had to spell "Veraram" at the second place. I figured the reason for this is because the product may not be offered in Canada. Does anyone know if I can get a Veraram intake in Canada (preferably in the Vancouver BC area)?
If not, Seattle is only about 1 1/2 hours away. Does anybody know of a place in Seattle that may carry it?
The guys at the store offered me a few alternatives. They had a K&N intake system and a weird looking double filter Granitelli intake system. Does anyone know how these compare to the Veraram system? It could save me a trip and hassle at the border (too much attention in a vette). Thanks again guys and gals

With the exchange rate being so favorable right now, it's going to be cheaper to order it from the US. I ordered mine from LAPD and got a great deal!
It made a real nice difference in performance too, not just at full throttle, but you get better throttle response at part throttle too.
Don't forget, the Vararam pulls in true cooler air from outside the car, not hot air from the engine bay like most aftermarket intakes.

I ordered a pair of 50.00 shoes from the states and when they got to my house, the courier slapped on an extra 25.00 for CUSTOM fees. That's the only reason why I don't order it online. I don't want to have to pay outrageous duties to the govt.

Even with that extra cost though, it is still cheaper for most things. The best thing to do is buy a bunch of stuff all at once, as you'll still pay the same brokerage fee for 3 things as you would for 1.
Yeah, I did order my shoes through UPS. But anyways, I found a place that can get me the intake system. If anyone else in Canada is interested, they are called Corvette Specialties in Surrey, BC. ph. 604-580-8388.
Just a question regarding the system. I know there is a plug-in (probably some form of sensor) right before the filter on my vette. Just wondering if the intake system has a place for that plug-in. Also, from the picture of the intake, it looks like it actually is assembled after the plug-in area. Anyone with a vararam know about this? Sorry if I'm not making sense. Thanks
