Default Tire sensors - reset difficulty

I just bought a new set of tires/wheels for my '00 and they have the '01 sensors in them. My question is, are these sensors compatible with my car? I tried every magnet (even a 6x9 speaker magnet) to reset the sensors and nothing is working.

Any suggestions is grately appreciated!

You need to pulled those tire sensors and replace with your orginals or buy new ones for your year. The tire sensors for 97'-00' are part number 10438853. The model years 01'-04' used a smaller and cheaper TPS.

Fred Beans is a supporting vendor and has them for about $74 each.

I think you should have used sensors made for '97 -'00 cars. Someone correct me if I'm wrong....

Both you and hrdse are correct - the sensors from '97-'00 are not interchangeable with those from '01-04 in either direction.
